Experience Pivot was built by Shane Clevenger — not as someone who has everything figured out, but as someone who changed careers and had to find out whether decades of experience still counted for anything.

I started my career in hospitality in Park City, Utah — as a bellman and a shuttle driver. I worked my way up through the hotel industry, first as an Assistant General Manager and eventually as a Hotel General Manager.
Hospitality taught me the things that have followed me everywhere since:
- Communication
- Customer service
- Leadership
- Operations
- Problem solving
- Managing people
- Working under pressure
- Understanding customers
- Decision making
Later, in my late 40s, I took those transferable skills, added technical training, and moved into technology and Salesforce.
From there I kept learning — Salesforce, technology, AI, automation, software and business systems. Eventually I began building AI-powered tools myself. That's what led to Experience Pivot.
